MBSE: Mindfulness-Based Self-Expression 1-day Workshop

Mindfulness-Based Self-Expression (MBSE) is a dynamic exploration of mindful creativity that weaves core MBSR practices with artistic exercises, writing, drawing and movement. Awaken, discover and deepen authentic self-expression and creative inspiration.  Taught by Janet Slom, MBSE founder and award-winning artist. (MBSE requires no prior art or MBSR experience).

Dive into mindful creativity and explore authentic self-expression in this 1-day workshop. Immerse in foundational MBSR practices and explore mindfulness through dynamic creative exercises (drawing, journaling, collage, movement and communication). Participants will open exciting pathways into the wellspring of our creativity, including simple and fun daily practices to tap the imagination. This workshop teaches skills for compassionate listening, deepening our creative process and authentic self-expression. Participants discover practical ways to stay present with kindness and compassion in the midst of vulnerability. The creative process does not require any art skills, and rather invites us to step into the space of beginners mind. This workshop will plant and nurture seeds for a mindful creative journey.

The Center for Mindfulness offers a 'You Choose' payment option for this program - you may determine your own donation of $360, $260 or $160 based on your financial means.
($10 materials fee is included in tuition)

For those who can afford to, we invite you to make your payment at the higher level, which will help to allow those unable to pay more at this time to attend this program at a discounted rate.
